The environmentally concerned Lakes Free Range Egg Company invested in a 199 kW biomass boiler.
Scope of supply
One piece P500 199 kW boiler equipped with a wood chip burner. Also a cyclone, a flue gas fan and controls were delivered from Osby. Bio-Geo, Osby Parca’s UK representative, supplied the client with fuel storage, fuel augers, external ash augers, installation and flue stack.
Installation Description
Lakes Free Range Egg Company produces ecological eggs from their free range hens. The company is one of the UK’s biggest egg producers with clients such as Tesco and McDonald’s. The organic cycle is important to the company, therefore the P500 is fired wood from the forest close to the egg farm.
Operation features
The P500 heats up, among other premises, the packing premises, the chicken yards and a dwelling house. The English RHI program subsidise the use of renewable fuels, which makes the investment very favourable.
